Selling on Ebay again
I've posted several Map prints on Ebay again. Take a look at them and buy a few! They are currently priced at $17.02. If they don't sell after a month they will be reduced by 20%.
All proceeds from the sale of Map items go directly back into making more Map.
So, support this project with a few of your dollars. Think of it as like crowd-sourcing. For a nominal contribution you get a beautiful print signed by Jerry! Here's the link:

More about my Tweets.......
Tyler set me up with a Twitter account (@jerrysmap) about a month ago, and I am loving it! Every morning that I am in the studio I post the first panel that gets drawn via my card system.
I now have 87 followers. I hope that you will join them!

Mail me some Jerry!
Always searching for ways to make my project accessible I have just started offering, on Ebay, to mail you a Map postcard signed by me. For a couple of bucks the charming town of Hue can be guarding your desk or gracing your nightstand. Take a look by clicking that Ebay store link at the right. Of course if you want the real meat of the Map, original panels, they are available at the new website.

Guest Artist Panels
I invite anyone who would like to contribute their artwork to the Map in the form of a guest artist panel. In the past, I have used artist contributions as the as the basis for new Map panels. If you are interested, email your image contributions to gretzingermap@gmail.com. Please understand that Jerry's Map will gradually encroach on your artwork but your imagery will also be introduced on label paper and used as collage throughout Jerry's Map.

Behind the scenes
On the back of every panel is its pedigree. This one, the first generation of S10/E16, was reformatted on December 8, 2004 and retired in 2014. It has been shown four times: at MASSMoCA in 2012, in Edinburgh over New Year's 2014, in Concord, Massachusetts in the Spring of 2014, and in Frankfort, Michigan earlier this year.

Twittering (or is it "tweeting"?) today!
Since this morning I have been Tweeting each panel that the random cards called up. Pictured above is S14/E6, the fourth selection of the day.
Most of you know by now that I use a modified deck of playing cards to tell me which panel to work on next. These cards also have some instructions which tell me what to do once I arrive at the new panel.
This particular one presents some fresh problems since I have never modified an airport before. Let's see what happens!

Getting ready
With four more shows coming up in 2015 Tyler and I are constantly in a state of getting ready.
The next show, at the Thomas Cole House in Catskill, New York, will be part of "River Crossings," a major show of contemporary art curated by Stephen Hannock and inspired by the Hudson River and its nineteenth century school of landscape painting.
My Map will "wallpaper" the second floor landing of the house. Shown above is the template I made this afternoon of the wall area to be covered. When I am showing something less than the complete Map such templates help me position the segment to be shown so that key elements fall in prime focal areas of the venue. This one will place the city of Ukrainia in a key spot on the landing wall.
The show opens May 3 and will run through November 1 of this year. I hope to see you there!
In the meantime please take a look at the Map selections for sale on Ebay. Every dollar we make from these sales goes back into the production of this Map and its public showings. Thanks!

A New Way To Buy Map Images?
Brainstorming ways to make the map easily accessible and view-able to anyone, we came up with the idea of offering scans of Map panels for $.99/each. The .jpeg images would be delivered via email after purchase and would accommodate high enough resolution for you to print at home. However we wanted to send some feelers out before taking on this project- would anyone have any interest? Feel free to reply here or send me an email at sgattic@aol.com
